Academic Progress
All students must meet the college standards of satisfactory academic progress. In order to remain eligible for federal financial aid or ther financial assistance, students must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0. In addition, RFM students are expected to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to remain in good standing with the college. The RFM grading scale is as follows:
94-100 = A = 4
86-93 = B = 3
76-85 = C = 2
70-75 = D = 1
All studens must complete a final paper which demonstrates mastery in their core area. The paper must be origional, double-spaced in 12 point with 1 inch margins all around. Also, the final paper must demonstrate your ability to research and communicate concepts and principles in your area of expertise.
Student Classification
Students will be classified on the basis of their credit hours earned and the degree level of enrollment.
- Freshman = 0-15 credit hours
- Sophomore = 16-30 credit hours
- Junior = 31-45 credit hours
- Senior = 46-60 credit hours
Each student must pass all required examinations in all courses, including quizzes, mid-terms, and finals. A passing score is 70% or higher. Students scoring lower than 70% on midterm exams are permitted a ONE-TIME retest on the lowest section of the exam. All final exam grades are FINAL.
Graduation
RFM commencement exercises are held once a year. All financial obligations should be settled prior to graduation. Graduating students are encouraged to participate in the commencement exercises.
